Tongshuntai White Tea Recommended by Nigerian Embassy in China; Fujian's Historic Brand Scented Along the "Belt and Road"

Recently, Fujian Tongshun Tai Tea Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tongshun Tai") introduced Fuding White Tea to the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in China and was officially designated as the embassy's recommended tea. This honor highlights Tongshun Tai's superior quality as a "Fuding Time-Honored Brand" and marks a new step forward in deepening cultural exchange between China and Africa while supporting the Belt and Road Initiative.

A delegation from Tongshun Tai Tea visited the Nigerian Embassy in China, presenting a collection of signature white tea and conducting a live tea ceremony. Embassy officials and staff highly praised Tongshun Tai's white tea for its distinctive "downy fragrance and honeyed rhyme" and exquisite craftsmanship after tasting. The Nigerian Embassy officially bestowed upon Tongshun Tai the honor of "Recommended Tea" and expressed its intention to incorporate Chinese white tea culture into its international outreach activities, enabling more global friends to experience the charm of Eastern tea.

Tongshuntai is a century-old brand in the Fuding White Tea industry, with origins tracing back to a Qing Dynasty tea merchant house. In 2026, it was selected for Fuding City's second batch of "Fuding Time-Honored Brand" list. The company adheres to traditional withering and sun-drying techniques, and its products have repeatedly won gold awards at tea competitions. This visit to embassies of African nations in China marks a key step in the enterprise's strategy to expand white tea exports overseas.

As Africa's largest economy, Nigeria is a key partner in the Belt and Road Initiative. "Being recommended as tea for the Nigerian Embassy in China is a strong endorsement of our quality," said the representative of Tongshuntai Tea Industry. "We will seize this opportunity to continue telling the story of Fuding White Tea and carry the aroma of Chinese tea even further."

Tongshuntai is actively preparing to expand its brand presence in international markets. Through cultural exhibitions and tea art training, the company aims to deeply integrate Chinese tea culture with African traditions, contributing a "tea-powered" bond to strengthen China-Africa friendship. In the future, Fuding white tea is poised to become a new "名片" for people-to-people exchanges between China and Africa.
