Inheriting the century-old craftsmanship of Bailin's renowned tea house, this tea features wild-grown mountain leaves and a full-process active technique that locks in enzymes to preserve the tea's natural mountain character. The dry leaves exhibit rugged, wild texture with rich orchid and wild floral aromas. The liquor is amber-clear and golden, robust in qi, fresh and full-bodied with honeyed sweetness and a cooling finish, offering rapid aftertaste and excellent brewing endurance. Naturally aged in a dry warehouse, it grows more fragrant with time—perfect for both drinking and collecting.
Zhanguangtai, born from the century-old Guangtai Tea House of Bailin. Part of the Tongshuntai Premium Wild Bush Collection, we uphold an end-to-end active processing technique. We carefully select fresh leaves from wild-grown tea trees deep in Bailin's mountains—trees that grow naturally among the forest, coexisting with vegetation and rooted in the wild, accumulating rich internal compounds. Through composite sun withering and traditional slow-roasting over gentle fire, we preserve the tea's natural active enzymes to its fullest extent. This grants the tea enduring vitality for further transformation, locking the mountain's wild charm into every leaf and showcasing the unique rugged character of our wild bush variety.
Dry tea: Naturally grown, irregularly shaped leaves with sturdy stems and distinct horse-hoof nodes. The color is dark green with hints of brown-gray; fine white hairs are subtly visible, showcasing a wild, natural texture. The dry aroma is crisp and intense, blending strong floral notes from the mountains with grassy scents and a faint honey sweetness, delivering an invigorating wild fragrance.
Aroma: Intense yet refined, with a clear and uplifting fragrance. In the new tea stage, prominent notes of mountain wildflowers, orchid, and forest vegetation blend with a sweet honeyed nuance. As it ages in dry storage, it gradually develops earthy, zongzi leaf, and warm medicinal tones. The lingering finish is long-lasting, with a wild character that persists throughout.
Appearance: Clear golden to amber hue; the liquor is glossy and luminous with a delicate, gelatinous texture.
Taste: Robust tea energy with a clear, smooth, and powerful first impression. Distinctive wild bush character fills the air immediately; the liquor is full-bodied with dynamic tension. A sweet, honey-like sweetness persists throughout, while bitterness is minimal. After swallowing, a cooling sensation rises in the throat; the sweet aftertaste is fast, long-lasting, and promotes continuous saliva production with a lively texture. Exceptional durability: even after more than ten infusions in a gaiwan, rich flavor remains—also ideal for boiling. Boiled tea yields a honeyed, glutinous, and silky-smooth liquor.
